First year Monash students are invited to participate in the Net Zero Me pilot program running in semester 2.

Net Zero Me is a brand new student engagement program designed to raise awareness of how Monash is responding to the challenge of climate change and to assist students to understand their own carbon footprint and take action to reduce it.

How does the program work

The program will take approximately 6 hours to complete over the course of the semester. Each participant will be assigned a carbon coach who will support them throughout the program. The program is broken up into three parts.

  • Learning content via Moodle (Net Zero Me Workbook)
  • Carbon Footprint calculation and creation of an Action Plan
  • Reflection and Final Report

Why should I participate?

Participants will learn about the many climate change and sustainability programs on offer within Monash. They will also learn about behaviour change and be guided in taking action to reduce their carbon footprint through a structured and supported approach. Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on their lifestyle choices and behaviours during the program.

Students who complete the program will receive a certificate of completion.

How can I sign up?

If you want to participate please complete this expression of interest form by Monday 16 August.
