Many organisations realise the importance of having a Sustainability Policy, not only for the benefit of their shareholders but also for the wellbeing of their employees, customers and the bottom line. So why is it that so many organisations manage to put pen to paper but not actions to words when it comes to embedding sustainable practices in the workplace?

In this four-day program, Green Steps will break down the barriers that organisations face, from gathering environmental data and planning sustainability initiatives right through to how behaviour change, effective communication and engaging staff are all vital to create action amongst the very drivers of the organisation – its people.

This program will take you on a journey, learning the necessary skills and tools to gather environmental data in your workplace, understand the barriers organisations face and how to overcome them, and equip you with the confidence to create your own sustainability projects from design right through to successful implementation.

Aimed at anyone who has a role or an interest in embedding sustainable practices in the workplace, you will uncover why sustainability practices succeed or fail and will feel more confident that programs you implement will be an ongoing success.

What to expect

Green Steps is all about turning talk into action. Our course style is focused on the ‘how to’ of sustainability, providing interactive tasks and discussions that help participants embed learning and build confidence in applying their new skills to the workplace.

We keep our course numbers small. This ensures that each participant has the opportunity to absorb information, discuss concepts, share their experience and create action plans tailored to the needs of their workplace.

Our aim is to have each participant walk away with the skills and confidence to implement changes in their workplace that builds towards a more sustainable future.
